Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand. The national park around it holds the twin Royal Pagodas, Wachirathan Waterfall, the Kew Mae Pan trail and the village of Pa Pong Piang.
Most visitors come for the summit and its sunrise, then the twin Royal Pagodas built in honour of the King and Queen, with wide views over the forested ranges.
Wachirathan Waterfall, on the road up the mountain, is the most visited waterfall in Chiang Mai and at its most powerful in the rainy season.
Our two-day trips combine the park with a night at Pa Pong Piang: the July–October trip visits the pagodas and Wachirathan; the November–March trip adds sunrise at the summit and the Kew Mae Pan trail.
