A full day on foot in the hills outside Chiang Mai. You visit a Karen village with a local leader, then walk through rice fields and dense jungle to a waterfall and natural stream where you can swim.
This trip runs all year. Between July and November the walk passes rice terraces during planting and harvest.

A day in the hills

10:00Drive to the Karen village
Through countryside and farmland.
10:45–14:30Village, trek and waterfall
A village tour with a local leader covering daily life, customs, natural medicine and farming, then about four hours on jungle and rice terrace trails, lunch, and time to swim at the waterfall.
14:30Return to Chiang Mai
Drop-off at about 16:00.
