Karen Hill Tribe Villages

Farming, weaving, cooking over fire and life alongside the forest.

The Karen are one of the largest hill tribe communities in Northern Thailand. Our treks visit Karen villages where daily life still follows the seasons of rice and forest.

On our village tours a local leader explains daily life, customs, natural medicine and farming practices. On the two-day trek you sleep in a traditional bamboo house and help cook a seasonal Karen dinner.

One of the villages on our two-day trek has no electricity at all; the community lives in a sustainable, forest-based way that your guide will explain.

We have been guiding travellers to these communities since 2016.
